As Metrolinx continues building the Ontario Line subway, residents in our neighbourhood fall into one of two categories … those who live nearby and care greatly about construction activity and those who live further away and are just interested in when the project is going to be finished. This blog post is addressing the former 😉
First of all, there is this link … Ontario Line. From here you can subscribe to an e-newletter which is not station-specific, a sample of which can be found at this link … Metrolinx. Next, Metrolinx provides station-specific Construction Notices, examples of which can be found at Ontario Line - Community Notices | Metrolinx. To receive these notices directly to your email, complete this Contact Us | Ontario Line | Metrolinx, indicating which station interests you. Use this same link to submit any other questions or concerns you may have about the project. Then, each station has a CLC (Construction Liaison Committee). To represent the GDNA, the volunteers are Alan O. Wong for King Bathurst and Valerie Eggertson for Queen Spadina. Currently meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month for KB and the first Tuesday of each month for QS. Meeting presentation deck and minutes are available but residents must pull them up from here: Ontario Line - Community meetings. Lastly, station-specific Open Houses are held on occasion. Here are the display boards related to the latest ones at Queen Spadina Open House and King Bathurst Open House. Notices of upcoming Open Houses will be posted via the GDNA Google Groups. Happy reading!
