On December 5th, City Council will likely approve the inclusion of 94 King-Spadina properties on the City of Toronto’s Heritage Register, listed here. As it happens, all the properties earmarked for demolition for this proposal are on the list. At the Community Consultation Meeting last night, the City made it quite clear that it would refuse this application … this new heritage status being a primary issue. Attendees, many from 10 Morrison, expressed unhappiness with the proposal’s features, specifically: height, setbacks, blank walls on the south and west sides, traffic flow (or lack thereof) on Morrison.
