As promised, the resolution was speedy. This 35-page report is dated July 15th.
The bottom line:
The bottom line:
- The Tribunal “determined over the course of the hearing that its threshold issue was heritage” and found in the developer’s favour ... the 1950's structure can go.
- The proposal’s 57-metre height and 36.75-metre street wall were approved.
- Thanks to the presentation by participant Eris Ritcey (GDNA member and resident of 32 Camden Street), the Tribunal ordered that south facing balconies of the proposal be recessed within the building proper. The basis of this decision makes interesting reading in sections 89-97 of the report.
- The proximity of the proposal to the outdoor amenity space of the Fabrik condominium remains an issue which the Tribunal has deferred to the site plan approval process for resolution.
