City Planning has released a 34-page report detailing reasons for its rejection of this application proposal. The report will be accepted, debated and/or rejected at the next session of the Toronto and East York Community Council scheduled for February 14th. Members of the public who wish to challenge (or support) any development in these "post-OMB" times are encouraged to voice their opinions at TEYCC meetings. This can be done in two ways ... in person or by written comment. Taking agenda item TE3.4 related to the rejection of this rezoning application at 580 King West, follow this link: http://app.toronto.ca/tmmis/viewAgendaItemHistory.do?item=2019.TE3.4 Notice that you have the option to “Request to Speak” or to “Submit Comments”: If you choose to “Request to Speak”, an email form appears. You need to complete this form and send (and then attend the meeting on February 14th).
If you choose to “Submit Comments”, a different email form appears. You can just type your comments in the email body – or – you can compose a letter and attach it to the email form before sending. The difference? Comments in the email body are not displayed online but an attachment is if 1) you are an organization (for example, a residents association, a legal office, etc) or 2) you are an individual and request in the email body to have the attachment posted. |
