Metrolinx in conjunction with Infrastructure Ontario is encouraging input from organizations adjacent to and serviced by Ontario Line stations. The GDNA is participating in both the Bathurst/King and the Queen/Spadina stations. Jeff Ibsen and Dieter Riedel are reps for BK; Valerie Eggertson and Ann Marie Strapp are reps for QS. Each of us had to sign a non-disclosure agreement but there is still a lot of information publicly available. A note about Architectural Plans
Properties have yet to be purchased and developers have yet to be selected. An appropriate analogy might be that the plans represent the block of marble from which Michelangelo will carve his David. In other words, the plans satisfy the zoning bylaws and the various planning acts; the selected developer will submit a masterpiece that works within the plans' framework.

First of all ... what is the Ontario Line? In a nutshell, this 15.6-kilometre, 15-stop subway line will run from Exhibition Place, through the heart of downtown, and all the way to the Ontario Science Centre. It will give people major relief from crowding on the Line 1 subway and other busy transit lines across the city thanks to connections with dozens of other travel options along the way, from regional GO trains, to existing subways, to new light rail transit lines, and more. The following images are all extracted from an INFORMATION SITE maintained by Metrolinx. Reference this site for up-to-date details or upcoming meetings. For planning purposes, the Ontario Line is divided into four neighbourhoods. The GDNA Community sits in the West Neighbourhood and is home to two stations, Bathurst/King and Queen/Spadina. The Exhibition Station is going to be the most complex, requiring integration with GO transit and the up-routing of residential and commercial sites. The Bathurst King station will have stations placed on the NE and SE quadrants of the intersection. The Queen Spadina station will have stations placed on the NE and SW quadrants of the intersection. Above each station property there will be hi-rise development. Between now and 2029, when the Ontario Line is scheduled for completion, there will be plenty of road closures and community impacts, some more temporary than others. In mid-December 2021, City Council adopted THIS LIST.
