I have been a resident in this area since the year 2000 when my friends teased me about buying a condo unit across from a park home to rubby-dubs and drug addicts, surrounded by run-down factories and offices, far from general grocery stores and other amenities.  How this neighbourhood has changed!  The St. Andrew's Playground received heritage status and was transformed into a space where dogs walk and children play while employees from neighbourhood businesses eat their lunches on the grass.  Rodney's Oyster House moved in on King Street and a tsunami of other restaurants, all high end, followed suit.  Loblaws moved into the neighbourhood and general groceries became close to hand.  Yet, despite these changes, we still have easy access to Chinatown, Kensington Market, the Entertainment District, King West, Queen West and West Queen West.  A superb location for urbanites!
We now live in one of the fastest growing areas of all North America.  We can't, nor do we want to, stop changes.  But we do want to make sure that changes do not annihilate the character of our little oasis.  And so, in the spring of 2015, the GDNA was born and today we represent a number of residential properties within our Spadina/Bathurst/Queen/King perimeter.  Keep your eye on us ... we too are going to grow and make our presence felt.
