Nurse Supervised Injection Services planned for our neighbourhood

Joe Cressy visited with the GDNA this past week to introduce this initiative which will be housed at the Queen West Community Health Centre (168 Bathurst Street). Those is attendance lauded the programme. Attached is a pamphlet detailing the proposal, its planned execution, its goals and its expected benefits. A public meeting will be held on Thursday April 14, 2016 at 7pm at the Scadding Court Community Centre (707 Dundas Street West).

These sites are tremendously important in preventing people from using and ODing in our parks, leaving dirty sharps in public and driving up our healthcare costs with preventable infections and OD ER / ICU admits.

Addicts will use whether the site it there or not.

Having it means preventing and containing further costs, harm, and negative consequences of this rampant public health issue.
